2.24 lakh Honda Cars recalled

Few months ago we reported that many international car companies including Ferrari recalled it’s car models due to some fault in the airbags.

Seems like there is no hope left for “Takata” to survive as it’s reputation is maligned very very much in the automobile industry due to which the company is going to note loss for the first time in decade.

Even in India many major car companies have takata as a supplier of airbags.

Honda is recalling 2.24 lakhs units of CR-V. civic, City and Jazz manufactured between 2012-2013 to replace the faulty airbags that is the largest exercise in the country.

As per SIAM data the largest recall till date was by Ford india of recalling around 1.66 lakh units of figo and Fiesta models in September 2013 and on second position was General motors recalling Beat and Spark in July this year. Now Honda will overtake it for sure.

HCIL ( Honda cars india Ltd.) will replace the faulty airbags inflators  free of cost of 2,23,578 vehicles according to their statement and the first phase of replacement atall the dealerships of HCIL will start from 12th October and the company will communicate to them directly regarding time and day to replace the airbags.

Till now total 10,85,064 cars have been recalled in India.
