Full Review of Canon 50mm f/1.8 STM

What is New?
You would be thinking what is STM? It means Stepping Motor Lens. If anyone who has used the old one 50mm lens they would spot differences in these lenses. The motor is very smooth in this lens as in old one it was very noisy and creeky and would show away some insects if you try your hands on Macro photography.
Why I love it?
There are four reasons why I love it
- great image quality at great price
With 1.8 aperture one can shoot incredibly good in low light and with background blur
After shooting over 500+ frames, it’s obvious that this lens produces sharp, beautiful mages.
Canon really delivered on this lens — this lens give you huge bang for the buck for just 8500Rs.
Better construction and feel
The old 50mm f/1.8 was lightweight and produced great images, but it was probably the cheapest-feeling name brand lens on Earth.
You won’t mistake the new and improved 50mm f/1.8 STM for a Zeiss or Canon L lens, but it is definitely a step up in quality from the old 50mm f/1.8.
Better auto focus
The STM has reduced creeky motor sounds and is now much quieter and has a very good auto focus as compared to its predecessor.
Metal body and lightweight
The body in this lens is of metal and looks very good to touch. This lens is shorter as compared to earlier one and is very lightweight
I would recommend to go for this lens even if old 50mm lens is being sold at 6K but even if you are spending a bit more you get the latest and improved lens
