FACE OFF : ASUS ZENFONE 2 VS LENOVO VIBE SHOT
Back in MobileWorld Congress and CES this year, there have been tons of new Android phones that were revealed to the public. And of course companies that made a massive showcase are giants like Samsung with their reveal for Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, however other companies like Lenovo and ASUS made huge revelations too with their ‘Lenovo Vibe Shot’ and ‘Asus Zenfone 2’.
We chose these two phones, since their one of the few quality Androids in the market that is not pocket-painful. In the tech world-back then-if you want quality, you have to pay the price. But now, with the rise of different companies releasing Android phones, it is clear that ‘quality doesn’t mean pricy’; and among those phones are Asus Zenfone 2 and Lenovo Vibe Shot, so which one should you choose?
Both Zenfone 2 and Lenovo Vibe Shot’s screen resolutions are; 1080 x 1920, however Zenfone 2 has a bigger screen size at 5.5 inches, whilst Lenovo Vibe Shot is just at 5 inches; pixel density of Lenovo Vibe Shot is at 441 ppi, whilst Zenfone 2 is at 403 ppi only. Both Lenovo Vibe Shot and Zenfone 2 are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
When it comes to Storage; Zenfone 2 comes in a variety of 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB which can be expanded up to 64 GB through micro SD. Lenovo Vibe Shot on the other hand comes only at 32 GB, however it can be expanded up to 128 GB.
PROCESSOR AND SOFTWARE
Both phones run on Android 5.0 Lollipop, however Asus Zenphone 2 is believed to upgrade on Android 5.1 Lollipop on a later date. The Vibe Shot is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa Core chipset with 3gb ram, while Zenfone2 is powered by Intel Atom Quad Core Processor with 2 variants of 2gb and 4gb ram .
Obviously, Vibe Shot will have better cameras than Zenfone 2 since coming from the name itself-Vibe Shot-the focus of this Lenovo phone is for picture purposes. The Lenovo Vibe Shot has a 16 MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera, whilst Asus Zenfone only has 13MP for its rear-view camera and only 5MP for its front-facing camera.
The Lenovo Vibe Shot is expected to cost 22000Rs, while Zenfone 2 starts at 12999Rs for its 2gb variant and 19999Rs for its 4gb variant. Zenfone 2’s already available in the market, while the Lenovo Vibe Shot is still expected to launch by June this year.
