Let’s face it, not all of us are morning people. Some of us love mornings, while others think of mornings as satan’s way of punishing them. *Hints at herself*
While we all know that morning people are more energetic and positive than the rest of the population, some of us just don’t like waking up early!
Here are 5 things morning people do better than the rest of the population:
1- They are happier!
“We found that morningness in both younger and older people was associated with greater experience of positive emotions,” said Renee Biss, a graduate student at the University of Toronto and Rottman Research Institute. Morning people have a more positive outlook towards life, and wake up feeling energized and healthy.
2- They get better grades
Looks like you’ll have to start getting up early, if you want better results at school! A 2008 study of college students at a Texas University, the students who identified as morning-type people had GPAs that were a full point higher than those of their evening-type peers, WebMD reported.
3- The don’t hit snooze
“A morning person usually awakens very quickly with very little fogginess,” says Brown, “ready for a high level of activity very quickly.” Morning people show a lot of energy and joy in the morning, which is why they don’t need to act lazy and waste time trying to get out of bed.
4- They are more productive
Since morning people have more time on their hands, they are more productive. They have set their goals for the day and time is not a problem! Waking up early gives you more time to do stuff that otherwise would seem time consuming and unnecessary, like working out!
5- They are nicer
Most morning people don’t have mood swings, and they’re most likely depression free. These people tend to be calmer and nicer, because nothing is really disturbing them. Both mentally and physically they feel healthy and ready to take on the world!
